ORTHEVS — FATHOM NEW HORIZONS
Engineering Beyond Boundaries. Orthevs is conceived as a modular technology and engineering ecosystem: specialist applications, reusable foundations and controlled execution support solutions from first idea through ongoing evolution.
What is Orthevs?
Orthevs aims to make technological solutions understandable, developable, verifiable and operable throughout their lifecycle. A shared engineering context links domain applications, resources, decisions and outcomes while preserving domain autonomy.
Select specialist Labs and capabilities for each project.
Keep requirements, architecture, execution and operations connected.
Connect custom components and existing technology through defined interfaces.
Requirements, models, architectures and technical decisions are developed transparently and retained as versioned engineering artifacts.
Labs combine their Factories as specialist tools with native or integrated Engines to form reproducible engineering flows.
Function, security, quality, performance, resilience and recovery are evaluated against transparent criteria with reproducible evidence.
Technologies are integrated into different target environments, approved and transferred into operation through traceable handovers.
States, events, policies, risks and service objectives remain visible and governable through shared platform services.
Operational insight feeds back into new releases, adapted baselines and the next engineering cycle under version control.
Defined engineering lifecycle · target architecture
Structured discovery is intended to turn requirements into versioned Engineering Contracts. Foundations, architecture, capabilities and validation then form a continuous path. This is the target model; full automation is not yet available.
Clarify ideas and requirements through structured questions.
Record goals, boundaries and decisions in an Engineering Contract.
Model architecture and select suitable Foundations.
Build artifacts with Labs, Factories and Engines.
Evaluate simulations, dry runs, tests and evidence.
Deploy, observe and operate approved solutions.
Evolve products and engineering foundations under version control.
Engineering Labs
Each Engineering Lab is designed as an independent domain application and SDK-like interface for a specialist discipline. Workspaces, editors and programmatic interfaces expose its Factories. Labs can run separately or collaborate through documented Contracts.
Develop and evaluate data, algorithms, models, experiments and inference architectures.
BCELDesign distributed ledgers, blockchain networks, smart contracts and protocols.
OSELEngineer operating systems, kernels, packages, distributions, images and VM tests.
IELDevelop infrastructure resources, networks and physical or virtual topologies.
PELEngineer platforms and clusters through design, deployment, operations and evolution.
SELDevelop security architectures, controls, policies and validation methods.
Foundations & Standards
Universal Engineering Foundations combine versioned models, rules, workflows, tests and implementations. Requirements and constraints guide their selection and produce an approved project baseline. Factories provide capabilities; Engines process, calculate and execute.
Scope, processes, workflows, capabilities, reference architecture and operational knowledge are maintained as one coherent, adaptable solution blueprint.
Reviews, reproducible tests and security, operations and quality gates create versioned evidence for a clearly bounded scope.
Organizations adopt a Foundation under control, add parameters and extensions, and document deviations, approvals and upgrade decisions.
A Contract resolves a suitable Foundation into an approved Baseline. Factories and Engines supply the required capabilities and execution steps.
Reusable engineering knowledge, models, rules and workflows.
Concrete, versioned and approved system definitions.
Specialist Lab tools for creation and processing.
Mechanisms for processing, computation, orchestration and execution.
A Foundation preserves more than an outcome: it preserves the traceable route to the solution. It translates the design into processes and workflows and binds the right capabilities to them.
Goals, requirements, architecture, assumptions and success criteria are described in a structured, versioned form.
Parameters and guardrails keep the blueprint adaptable while its origin, handoffs and mandatory rules remain traceable.
The complete solution includes technical artifacts, configuration, operating model, evidence and lifecycle.
A Foundation is a general, versioned engineering model. It can contain architectural knowledge, requirements, rules, workflows, tests and implementations. A Baseline is the evaluated and fixed selection of these foundations for a specific Contract, making the solution reproducible.
Mandatory gates cannot be offset by an aggregate score. Failed reviews or tests lead back into controlled revision.
Origin, parameters, extensions, exceptions, approvals and upgrade decisions remain traceable throughout the lifecycle.
The Enterprise Kubernetes Foundation example shows how infrastructure, operating system, platform, security and operations combine their capabilities in one solution workflow with integrated quality gates.
“Orthevs-qualified” refers to the planned internal qualification against transparent criteria. It is not a claim of independent certification or automatic regulatory compliance.
Logic-driven automation · target architecture
Declarative state models, rules and versioned workflows are intended to control engineering processes transparently. Users can choose manual, assisted or automated paths. AI may assist but is not required for core execution.
Orthevs Everywhere
The modular Core and independent Labs are designed for workstations, servers and distributed environments. Federation preserves each instance's authority. Orthevs OS is a long-term vision for an integrated desktop.
Platform Core, selected Labs and capabilities run on a workstation, VM or single server, including isolated environments.
Private or public cloud environments provide scalable workloads, shared resources and highly available services.
A dedicated distribution with Orthevs Runtime and a shared web, desktop, CLI and TUI experience as a long-term target.
Local, cloud and OS instances exchange capabilities, events and artifact references under control without dissolving their trust boundaries.
This is a design baseline. Discovery, autonomous Contract execution, comprehensive simulation, federation and Orthevs OS are target capabilities, not generally available product features.
System architecture
A hybrid modular Core connects Experience, resources, Contracts and shared control. Independent Labs provide domain environments; Factories and Engines provide capabilities and execution. Deployment may be local, distributed or federated.
ArchitectureIdentity, registry, policy, audit, projects, tenants, secrets, events, state, workers and artifacts form the shared governance, runtime and integration foundation.
Labs combine domain applications, workbenches and SDK-like interfaces. They own their disciplines and expose Factories through Contracts.
Factories are the specialist engineering tools of a Lab. They may be provided as plugins, packages, services or adapters and use Engines for processing and execution.
Versioned engineering models connect knowledge, architecture, rules and workflows. An evaluated Baseline fixes the project-specific selection.
Factory Portfolio
The portfolio maps planned Factories as specialist Lab tools. Their records describe responsibility and the target model, not universally available features. Version, maturity, qualification profile and evidence are intended to show each Factory’s actual status.
Foundations · Wiki · Tools · Engines · Academy
Dedicated sections show the role Foundations, wiki knowledge, tools and engines play in the Orthevs system. Every entry states its goal, integration, maturity and explicit boundaries.
A Foundation is a versioned engineering model that can connect knowledge, architecture, rules, workflows, tests and implementations. Requirements guide selection; an evaluated Baseline fixes the concrete solution reproducibly.

Open details ↗The Academy organizes 15 technical workshops into consistent learning paths. Each workshop combines foundations, exercises, assessments and 31 practical modules with a fully traceable material structure.
Open details ↗Principles
Clear responsibilities, versioned contracts and verifiable outcomes create room for native development, integration and continuous evolution.
Labs and Factories can be developed, versioned and operated independently.
Versioned APIs, events and Capability Contracts make collaboration explicit.
Concepts, process chains, runs, configurations, artifacts and provenance form one engineering result.
Identity, secrets, policies and auditing are shared concerns instead of being reinvented by every Lab.
Simulations, tests and measurements show where a Foundation is suitable and where its limits lie.
Organizations share proven approaches while adding their own policies, providers, target environments and approvals.
Capabilities are intended to remain usable on single servers, clusters and, over time, in Orthevs OS.
New technologies, insights and requirements flow back into versioned systems and Foundations under control.
Project status
The architecture roadmap states an order for technical proof, not delivery dates. Each stage should be checked against working Contracts, tests and traceable outcomes.
Define resource model, Capability Contracts, modules and security boundaries.
Turn requirements into Contracts and resolve suitable foundations into Baselines.
Prove an end-to-end flow with workspace, Factory, validation and artifact.
Connect Labs, validate distributed execution and federation; develop Orthevs OS over time.
Engagement models
Orthevs is building its technological foundation. Engagement therefore follows a traceable scope and the next verifiable outcome — not already-claimed standard editions.
A concrete problem is translated into requirements, system boundaries, architecture decisions and a realistic first engineering slice.
A selected reference solution is developed into a versioned Foundation with architecture, processes, implementation, tests and an operating model.
Foundations and Organization Baselines are adapted, operated, updated and requalified under control as knowledge evolves.
These models describe possible forms of engagement at the current stage of development. They are not published standard editions or flat-rate product offers.
